Hi guys! I’m Anthony, an English teacher and co-creator of DimmiDeck.
The DimmiDeck is all about communicative language teaching and creating games and activities with your students that focus on talking and using their second language. However the communicative approach is more than just adding a few new activities to your lessons, it requires a conscious change in various aspects of your teaching style and creating a new culture of chatting, sharing and positivity inside your classroom.
To help with this we’d like to present our series of blogs on ‘Nurturing and Promoting Conversation in the Classroom’. The series will take you step by step through a process of transforming your classroom into a positive, engaging learning environment where students talk in their second language confidently and freely.
Our first post – ‘Don’t Interrupt! – How to Correct Correctly’ will be posted on Monday the 12th of December and will run weekly every Monday.
We hope you find these blog posts informative, useful and inspiring. If you have any questions or comments, please leave them in the comment box and remember – if you enjoy the blog be sure to share it using the social media links at the bottom of the post!
Thank you for your continued support of DimmiDeck!
